A number of events were put on to celebrate the club’s birthday

Members of the club held a celebration day at Inspire Suffolk to mark the team’s achievements over the past decade.

The group were joined by Ipswich mayor, Sarah Barber for the afternoon which also saw displays and activities from other sports including sitting volleyball.

Founder Claire O’Brien Ellington hopes that the showcases will become a regular part of the team’s sessions; “I want to let members know that there are other sports out there.”

A special chocolate cake shaped like one of the team’s wheelchairs was also baked for the occasion which Claire said “was adored by everyone.”

The cake was cut by one of the team’s first members Mark Race with the help of BBC Radio Suffolk’s Wayne Bavin who also attended the afternoon’s events.
