AN IPSWICH street was closed for more than two hours today after 30litres of dangerous chemical leaked onto the roadway.
Firefighters were called to London Road and needed to wear gas-tight suits to deal with the spilt liquid, believed to have fallen off the back of a lorry.
The liquid was potassium hydroxide solution, used in camera films, and can cause severe burns and eye damage if people come into contact with it.
