Two new charity banks have been installed at the back of an Ipswich club.

The banks, which will collect donated goods for the national deafblind charity Sense, have been installed at Pauls Sports and Social Club in the centre of the town.

Club chairman John Winlow has a grandson who is deaf and so is delighted with the club’s new addition.

“I greatly respect people, young and not so young, who manage with a visual or hearing impairment. I cannot imagine how challenging life must be if one is completely blind or deaf.

“We hope these charity banks will not only be used by club members, but also local residents.”

Paul Hale, donated stock manager for the charity, said: “We are extremely grateful to the club and its members for allowing us to host the donation banks in aid of Sense”.

Sense currently have three shops in the area at at Whitton, Felixstowe and in Ipswich town centre.
