A man is due to appear in court later after he was charged with drug-dealing in Ipswich.
Police were contacted shortly before 3pm on Wednesday following reports of drug-dealing in Bourne Park.
Officers attended the scene and, with the help of the police helicopter and police dog handlers, arrested six people on suspicion of committing drug offences. They were all taken to Martlesham Police Investigation Centre.
Omar Musa, a 20-year-old unemployed man of no fixed address, has now been charged with two counts of being in possession with intent to supply Class A drugs. He has been detained in police custody prior to his appearance at South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court today.
The other five men; an 18-year-old man from London, a 19-year-old man from Surrey, a 19-year-old man from Twickenham, a 19-year-old man of no fixed address and a 22-year-old man from London have all been released on police bail until September 25 pending further enquiries.
