Comedian Dawn French will perform at the Ipswich Regent as part of her first ever solo UK tour, it has been announced.

The Vicar of Dibley actress will bring her new autobiographical show, entitled 30 Million Minutes, to the Ipswich Regent on Monday, September 22.

Tickets are on sale now for the show she penned based on her life and career.

She said: “I’m sick with excitement about this solo tour. I am enjoying the fact that I can’t categorise exactly what it is, but it’s somewhere between a monologue, a play, and an autobiographical slide show with a few funnies thrown in.

“At last, I have one of my three genie wishes granted, which is that I finally get to work with Michael Grandage (the show’s director).”

The tour begins on June 8. The show in Ipswich is the penultimate performance of the four-month tour.
