For the print on the shirt was the 32-year-old’s very own creation and caught the eye of the British designer who will now use it to form part of her Spring 2014 collection.

Mrs Rawlings, a womenswear buyer at Coes, put pen to paper to create the doodle for a competition in fashion magazine, Elle, and she admitted it was a great moment when she saw it being used on the catwalk.

“It’s huge exposure,” said the mother-of-one.

“it still hasn’t quite hit home yet but it will be very exciting when it is released.

“It was one of my dreams, to be involved in a fashion week, but I didn’t know I would ever have the opportunity, it is very special.”

As soon as the catwalk had finished, the top with Mrs Rawlings’ design was beamed across the world and found its way on to well known fashion websites – it also received a plethora of favourable comments from critics.

The top will be released in January and will be sold at London shop, Harrods, but it is likely that similar designs could soon find their way to the high street.

Zoe Jordan, daughter of motor racing legend Eddie, said: “Cheryl’s design has an easy to wear factor yet still remains unique. The subliminal message on her doodle caught my eye.”

It is not the first time Mrs Rawlings, who is due to be part of Ipswich Fashion Week, has had her designs released after a selection of cards she had created put on sale in Waterstones, John Lewis, Wyevale and Harrods.

She added: “To have two of my designs for sale in Harrods is amazing.”

Mrs Rawlings’ colleagues were also full of praise for her achievements.

William Coe, managing director of Coes, said: “We have always known Cheryl has incredible artistic talent and an eye for design, we are all so proud of her.

“She is an great asset to our business and her creativity is unbounded.”
