Ipswich’s hedgehog officer will be hosting a mammal morning at Christchurch Park this month to help families identify some of the common garden creatures.
Ali North from Suffolk Wildlife Trust will run the event on Saturday, July 29 from 7am to 10am, and will feature encounters with mice, voles and shrews.
Families will be able to learn to identify mammals from their footprints, what the Ipswich Hedgehog Project does, how to become a hedgehog champion in Ipswich and how to go about surveying and monitoring wildlife in your garden.
The event is the latest event added to the packed summer programme of events which is taking place at Christchurch Park and in Ipswich during the school holidays this summer.
The event is free, although booking ahead of the morning is essential.
