IT was Beaking News in The Star’s newsroom today!
As BBC Radio Suffolk staff were this morning producing a three-hour show, as part of Local Newspaper Week, a baby blue tit flew in to office!
The hungry bird popped in through a window – and then journalists watched as it flew from desk to desk.
Star Editor Nigel Pickover gently caught the bird, and showed it to presenter Mark Murphy, before returning it to the wild.
“The bird was unharmed and delighted to swoop away towards Ipswich Waterfront,” he said.
