YOUNGSTERS at a primary school in north east Ipswich will be getting involved in a marathon event as part of a major national fundraiser.

Pupils from years five and six at Britannia Primary School will be joining in with comedian Mark Watson’s 25-hour Comic Relief stand-up show on March 1 by getting 25 lessons in one day.

Assistant head and year six teacher Daniel Woodrow and year six teacher Greg Willamson will be leading the lessons, which will mostly be based around the number 25.

Mr Woodrow said: “Each lesson will be about 10 to 12 minutes long.”

Footballers from Ipswich Town may also be joining in to teach the children a lesson during the day.

The 25-hour comedy event has been planned to mark 25 years of Comic Relief.

People from all over the country have been invited to join in with the marathon fundraiser.
