The Virgin Money Car Insurance survey found that petrol prices in Ipswich are among the lowest in the country. The town also scored points for the number of parking spaces, the level of car crime and the number of speed cameras on main roads into the town.
Paul West, Suffolk County councillor for transport, said: “I am pleased to hear that in comparison with other towns and cities, we are more car-friendly than others.”
Dundee was found to have the most car-friendly conditions in the UK while Cardiff motorists have the worst.
