A 25-year-old Ipswich man has been disqualified from driving after his uninsured Mercedes was clocked travelling at 116mph on the A14.
Reece Carnell, of Bramford Road, was banned for 84 days by West Suffolk Magistrates’ Court in Bury St Edmunds.
He had pleaded guilty at a previous hearing before the same court on July 22 to speeding and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
Both offences occurred at 11.20pm on April 21 at Sproughton.
Carnell was also fined £650, and must pay £85 costs as well as £65 to the victims’ fund.
