Police have charged a 67-year-old man with manslaughter and five counts of contravening health and safety regulations following the death of a woman in Ipswich last year.
Annette Coe, the mother of William Coe, who runs the Coes stores in Suffolk and Essex, was discovered collapsed in a house in St Edmunds Road on December 5. She was taken to Ipswich Hospital, but died later.
Peter Sykes, of Castle Road in Hadleigh, was charged by police today.
He is due to appear at South East Suffolk Magistrates’ Court on October 16.
