A man is fighting for life in hospital today after collapsing at an address in Ipswich this morning.
Paramedics were called to a home near Portman Road just after 7.30am.
An ambulance and two rapid response vehicles arrived to find that a man in his 40s had collapsed. They called for assistance from a crew of medics from the East Anglian Air Ambulance, who landed outside the football ground just after 8am.
It was not clear how the man collapsed but he was taken in a land ambulance to Ipswich Hospital, where he remains in a critical condition.
