A man from Ipswich has celebrated donating more than £50,000 to worthy causes during 30 years of fundraising.
David Parry, 63, has supported various charities during his decades of good work, focusing more recently on the St Elizabeth Hospice.
After adding the proceeds from his latest fundraiser at McGinty’s in Northgate Street, Mr Parry found he had raised an impressive £52,000 total over the years. He held a party at the pub to celebrate.
“I’ve met lots of people through fundraising and I’ve now got two books filled with certificates from the charities I’ve helped,” he said.
“It’s nice to help the hospice, because they do good work looking after adults and children.”
