Ipswich: Man grabs young woman’s arm in morning attack

A police hunt is on for a man who grabbed a young woman by the arm after asking her for the time.

The incident took place at the Copdock Interchange before the underpass by the Park and Ride at approximately 6am today.

A 21-year-old woman was walking towards the underpass when a man approached her and asked if she had the time.

The woman put her hand in her pocket and as she did the man grabbed her right forearm. She shouted ‘get off’ and the man ran away towards Tesco.

The woman was not injured in the incident.

The offender is described as a white man, aged in his late 30s to early 40s, of a medium build. He was wearing dark coloured clothing including a jacket, woollen hat, gloves, shoes and dark blue jeans.
