An Ipswich man has been jailed for 26 weeks after pleading guilty to 17 counts of theft.
Lee McLaughlin, 34, of White House Road, was charged with 20 thefts from shops and the theft of a bicycle in Ipswich.
He pleaded guilty to 17 of the offences, which were listed from October 26 up until yesterday, and involved the theft of toiletries and food from shops in the town.
A further four charges were withdrawn.
Magistrates sentenced McLaughlin 26 weeks in prison and ordered him to pay an £80 victim surcharge.
