An Ipswich man arrested as part of an investigation into a banned neo-Nazi group has been released without charge.

The 24-year-old was among five men held on suspicion of terror offences last week.

A second man, also 24, from Northampton, has been released without charge, according to West Midlands Police carrying out an investigation into the National Action group.

Four of the arrested men were understood to have been serving soldiers, including three members of the Royal Anglian Regiment.

Detectives have extra time to interview a 22-year-old man from Birmingham, a 32-year-old man arrested in Powys, and a third 24-year-old man, arrested in Cyprus.

All five were arrested on suspicion of being concerned in the commission, preparation and instigation of acts of terrorism.

They were also arrested on suspicion of being a member of an organisation banned under UK law.
