A man was assaulted after he intervened when two boys were arguing in Ipswich.

Police are appealing for information after the assault, which happened at the entrance to a park in Bantoft Terrace at about 4.45pm on Wednesday.

A man was walking a dog with a woman, when they saw the two boys, aged around 10 years old having a verbal argument.

He then challenged them but one of the boys walked away and returned a short time later with a man, who then assaulted the male victim. The offender is described as a man, with a tanned complexion, of a stocky build, who was around 5’7” tall and between 28 to 32-years-old. He had short black hair, facial stubble, a tattoo on his lower back and was wearing white three-quarter length trousers. He also did not have a top on and wore sporty sunglasses.

A woman was with him described as of a less tanned complexion, between 28 to 32-years-old, of a skinny build and was wearing all white clothing.
