TWO men have been arrested by police after a disturbance in a residential street this morning.

Officers were called to Burrell Road, close to the train station, after several residents reported that a man was in the street, throwing bins around.

Five officers were sent to the scene and the man was arrested, along with another man who is believed to have left his home to confront the troublemaker.

The second man was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon.

A police spokesman said: “We were called at 6.15am. A man was outside throwing bins in the road, shouting and hitting cars.”
