A moped rider was stopped in Ipswich because he forgot to wear a helmet, police said - even though it was inside his top box.

Officers from the Norfolk and Suffolk Roads and Firearms Policing Unit Tweeted on Saturday evening that they had stopped the rider and issued him with a Traffic Offence Report (TOR).

It happened in Willoughby Road, Ipswich at around 6pm on Saturday.

They Tweeted: “Stopped this moped in #Ipswich as the rider forgot to wear his helmet even though it was inside his top box #Tor #safety.”
