Gilly Sillet and Katie Duehring started raising money for the East Anglian Ambulance Service just under a year ago.

Gilly Sillet and Katie Duehring began raising money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance just under a year ago and have raised £6,500 so far.

The duo have held a number of fund-raising events since starting their mission.

For their latest event they managed to raise more than £400, with the help of Martin Motlib the owner of Tandoori restaurant Bekash, in Meredith Road, Ipswich.

The restaurant gave 40% of its profit on July 14. Gilly and Katie are so thankful for the help and support they have had from Mr Motlib.

They said: “We would like to thank Martin for his very kind donation to the EAAA and for allowing us to raise our target closer to the £10,000.”

The fundraisers fly out to Uganda in November to help out at the local schools and to continue raising money.

On top of this they are holding a ball at Greshams in Ipswich, on Saturday, November 18, where all money raised will be added to the grand total.
