A HEARTBROKEN mum is today appealing for businesses or individuals to come forward and help her son get back on the motocross track, after his beloved bikes were stolen by callous thieves.

Police are still investigating the theft of eight-year-old Mason Sesto-Wright’s two KTM bikes, worth almost £3,000, which were taken from his Hogarth Road home in December.

And with the new season due to begin in March, and no bike to compete with, Mason’s mum Stacy Sesto, 29, hopes potential sponsors will come forward to offer their support.

She said: “We have had no luck and he is still really disappointed about his bikes.

“We haven’t got the money to get him a new bike so he ideally needs a sponsor.

“It (moto-cross) is something that Mason loves to do and every day he asks when his bike will be back.”

Miss Sesto revealed Mason’s dad, Ashley Wright, sold his own motocross bike to pay for Mason’s first vehicle and it took about 18 months to save enough money for the second. The talented biker rides with the Peterborough Junior Moto-cross Club and has won several trophies in the two years he has been a part of the club.

Mother-of-three Miss Sesto added: “He is getting really good at it.

“He came fifth in the last championships so it is not just for fun, he loves doing it.”

The bikes were stolen from Hogarth Road between 4pm on December 29 and 9am the following day.

The thieves climbed over the garden wall before breaking into a secure shed and stealing the bikes.

If you think you would be able to sponsor Mason, please call Stacy on 01473 423516.

Police are still appealing for witnesses to the theft and are asking anyone with information to call Pc Andrew Overton at Ipswich Police on 101, quoting crime reference IE124156.
