STRAINS of popular music will echo through Hadleigh on Saturday when Ipswich Community Light Orchestra arrives in town for a performance at St Mary's Church.

Conducted by Barry Salmon the repertoire for the night, which begins at 7.30pm, will include selections of music from Swan Lake, Miss Saigon, Richard Rodgers' musicals such as South Pacific and compositions by Hoagy Carmichael, Stephen Sondheim and Cole Porter.
Proceeds from the concert will go to the church and tickets cost £5. Accompanied primary school children will get in free.
