A 35-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man arrested over an alleged assault in Foxhall Road yesterday have been released under investigation.
Armed police were called to reports of a domestic incident, which is said to have happened between the road’s junctions with Farraday Road and Ruskin Road, at around 12.30pm on Monday.
Paramedics were also sent and treated a woman, believed to be in her 20s, for facial injuries.
She was conscious and breathing and was taken to Ipswich Hospital in an ambulance for further treatment.
Officers arrested the 35-year-old woman and 28-year-old man, both from Ipswich, on suspicion of grievous bodily harm shortly afterwards.
They were later taken to the Martlesham Police Investigation Centre for questioning.
Both have since been released under investigation pending further enquiries.
