Catherine, who has worked as a nanny for almost 20 years, will take on the 26.2mile challenge in aid of Ormiston Children and Families Trust.

To help with her fundraising, pupils at Sidegate Primary School held a ‘Wear it Red’ dress down day on Valentine’s Day, which helped to raise £410 – the funds from that have now been handed over.

Catherine said she has been delighted with the support she has received but her mind at the moment is dominated by the run on April 13.

She said: “My life at the moment is pretty much run, work, eat, sleep, and repeat. When I’m not out running I can be found looking at running books, planning my next route or sorting my iPod playlist.”
