RESIDENTS in two Ipswich streets were left with problems to their power supply due to a faulty underground cable.
The power was disrupted from 6.15pm on Monday to 17 residents in the Beechcroft Road and Ashcroft Road areas and remained faulty until the early hours of the following day, meaning some families were left without heat in the freezing weather conditions.
Cary Frost, of Beechcroft Road said: “We have a ten-month-old baby and didn't have any heat or light overnight. It was not nice.”
A spokeswoman for EDF Energy Networks said: “We would like to apologise to residents who experienced problems with their power supply from 6.17pm yesterday.
“The problem was caused by a fault on a low voltage underground cable and our engineers through the evening to restore supplies to normal.”
