A soup party organised by the Rotary Satellite Club of Woodbridge Deben held a soup party to raise cash for Ipswich Soup Kitchen and outreach bus.
Volunteers from the club came together to make soup for the event, with money donated from those attending going to the two causes.
The day raised more than £1,100.
Michelle Johnson-Last, one of the event organisers, said: “We’re pleased to support a fantastic local initiative that benefits so many people within our community who are going through tough times.
“Feeding people when they are cold and hungry, and giving them a chance to talk, supports them at a very basic and essential level. Without this many people will despair.
“The soup kitchen and the outreach project is one of the most genuine and essential humanitarian aid projects I have seen in Suffolk and I’m so proud to be part a team that supports them.”
