IPSWICH: A sixth form teacher accused of sexual offences against a former pupil will today appear in court.
Suzanne Harrison, 38, director of progression at Suffolk One in Ipswich is accused of three offences relating to sexual activity with a girl under the age of 16.
Harrison, of Wacker Field Road in Rendlesham, will appear at Ipswich Crown Court today for a preliminary hearing.
Harrison faces two charges of abusing a position of trust by engaging in sexual activity with a girl aged 13 to 17 and one charge of sexual assault on a child involving penetration.
The alleged offences are said to have taken place between December 2005 and July 2006 at a property near Sudbury.
Harrison taught geography at Otley College and in Colchester before joining Suffolk One sixth form centre in Scrivener Drive, Ipswich, last year.
Harrison was immediately suspended by Suffolk One on July 8, when she was arrested and charged by police.
