IPSWICH: Prince Harry was not on board the Apache helicopter that was forced to make an emergency landing in a field near Ipswich, the Ministry of Defence has confirmed.
The military helicopter from Wattisham was on a training exercise when it clipped some power lines and was forced to land in a field near Tattingstone last night.
Earlier this month the prince passed his Apache pilot training at Wattisham air base after 18 gruelling months training with the sophisticated attack helicopter.
