Police are appealing for witnesses after an attempted robbery of a taxi driver in Ipswich.
The taxi driver was called to a property in Kelly Road at around 3.30am this morning.
A man opened the taxi door and threatened the male driver inside. The victim was then assaulted by the man and another man who was with him. The victim drove off towards Dickens Road and lost sight of the offenders.
Nothing was stolen from the victim during the incident.
The first offender is described as a white man, between 25 to 30-years-old, around 5’9” tall and was wearing a grey hooded jumper.
The second offender is described as a man, about 5’10” tall and of a large build.
Police are appealing for anyone who witnessed the incident or recognises the men described to contact Ipswich Priority Crime Team on 101 quoting either IW/14/2451 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111.
