Ipswich student Courtney Bloomfield is preparing to start a year of fundraising efforts alongside her A Level studies in a bid to fund a charity project in Cambodia
The 17-year-old from Ruskin Road in Ipswich is hoping to go to the far eastern country during the summer of 2018 to help an educational charity working with Cambodian children.
But she has to raise £2,500 to fund the trip – and is planning how to raise the money with a series of events as she prepares for her A levels next summer.
She will be part of a team from Ipswich High School working in the country during the summer under the auspices of the World Challenge charity – although they have to plan their own specific project and itinerary for the event.
She is being supported by her family in organising the fundraising efforts – especially father Shaun who is hoping for sponsorship from some of his contacts in the haulage industry.
