Ipswich Tourist Information Centre has organised a new series of afternoon tea walks that will take place from this month until April.
The afternoon tea walks feature guides giving a tour of the town detailing aspects of its history – often on a certain theme – before finishing with afternoon tea and cakes.
Among the themes for the new programme are Charles Dickens’ connections with Ipswich, the history of some of the remarkable women who helped shape Ipswich and an exploration of some of the key and quirky events.
A spokesman said: “The walks are fun and informative – looking at various themes from Ipswich’s long and interesting history with the added bonus of finishing in one of the town’s great, independent, tea rooms for a cup of tea and a cake.”
Tickets are £8 per person, including the refreshments, and must be booked in advance.
