Pupils at Ravenswood Primary School in Ipswich were treated to a visit from Ipswich Town stars Steven Taylor and Kieffer Moore on Tuesday, who helped the pupils learn about the importance of healthy eating.

The visit was arranged to help youngsters understand the importance of a healthy lifestyle, as well as why having a positive attitude and working hard was key.

The pupils were given the chance to quiz the pair on life as professional players before going on to tackle common stereotypes and misconceptions around those involved in the sport.

“It was a good chance for us to speak with the children and discuss some of the myths associated with football” said Steven Taylor.

“We were able to explain to the children that to become a professional in any walk of life, you need to work hard, have a good attitude and look after yourself through having a good diet and doing regular exercise.”
