A Big Board Game Day taking place at Waterstones in Ipswich today has been raising hundreds of pounds for the NSPCC.
The store has held a drop-in session and donations throughout the day for families to come and play board games donated by Hasbro for the event, come up with their own board games and take part in a quiz.
Yesterday evening, an adult board game evening raised more than £200 for the cause.
Rachel Morris from the store said: “It’s been good, and it’s the first one we have done for NSPCC.
“We did a couple of board game events and the NSPCC asked if we wanted to do one to raise money for their national Big Board Game Day.
“We have had some great entries for design your own board games – it’s been really fund and everybody is really excited for the next one.”
To support the event, donations can also be made online here.
