A woman was assaulted at an Ipswich park on Saturday night, police have said.
The 27-year-old victim suffered minor injuries when she was assaulted in Celestion Drive, Ipswich, between 11pm and midnight on Saturday.
A Suffolk police spokesman said: “A 27-year-old woman was sitting on a bench in a play park area when she noticed a man sitting on the bench opposite.
“The man came over, began talking to the victim and assaulted her. The victim ran away from the offender.”
The woman sustained scratches to her legs and arms in the incident.
The offender is described as a white man, aged in his late 20s, of an average build, around 5ft 10ins tall, had light coloured hair and was wearing a dark blue top.
Witnesses are sought. Call police on 101.
