A routine security check had found six men, all believed to be Iraqi, concealed in a truck entering the base. Suffolk Police were then called to the United States Air Force site and arrested the men, as well as the German driver.

All seven men were arrested on suspicion of committing offences relating to illegal immigration, but due to the circumstances surrounding this incident, are all being detained under the Terrorism Act 2000.

Detectives questioning the group now have until Monday to continue their investigations. The men are being held in custody, in an unspecified location.
