The venue, within the family-owned leisure complex - which was once an industrial port building - took the title for Best Wedding Venue 2017 (Town/City).

The awards ceremony was held at The Granary Estates, Newmarket.

Isaacs wedding and events manager Marcella McGovern and colleague Sarah Byam were at the award ceremony, and proudly went up to receive the award.

Marcella said: “Wow, what an achievement.

“With heads held high, and stomachs sucked in, we went on stage to collect our award, and we couldn’t have been happier.

“We love doing our jobs, helping people plan their most special day. What could be better.”

This was the first time Isaacs had entered the awards, after around five years operating the wedding venue, she said.

“We are very proud. Our brides and grooms could vote for us, if they wanted to. So we are very grateful for them.

“This was the last but one award on the evening, so it was very tense.

“The unique thing about TWIA is that you are voted for by your brides ang grooms from the past year.

“The hard work, dedication and love we put into each wedding has been recognized by the people that matter most to us. And it fills us with such pride for the venue we work at. The next stop is the national finals.”

Isaacs has hosted 50 weddings so far this year,

“We started five years ago, and the past two years have been very busy,” she added.

“We have already got a lot of bookings for next year.”

The country award went to Bassmead Manor Barns, St Neots.
