It's not another signing by George Burley but one very lucky competition winner.

Ipswich fan Paula Warren won the ultimate prize for any Town fan when she appeared alongside her heroes in a special team photograph to mark the start of the 2001/02 season.

Paula correctly answered two Ipswich related

questions in a competition earlier this month run by the Evening Star, Ipswich Town Football Club and TXU Energi.

More than 1,000 people entered the competition through the Star newspaper and its web-site.

Paula said she had a great time being surrounded by her heroes: "It ranked pretty high as one of the best days of my life … it was a pretty unique experience."

Paula, who lists Jamie Clapham as her favourite player, said that setting foot on the Portman Road turf was also a big thrill.

"It was quite daunting with all the players being there, but walking out on the pitch was just brilliant - it was a wonderful day".

As part of the prize Paula will receive an enlarged framed photograph of the unique picture.
