THERE is still an opportunity for your dreams of a “Gold” evening to come “True”.

With demand for tickets rising, an extra table has today been made available at this year's Ipswich and Suffolk Press Ball, where you can see singer Tony Hadley in action.

Inaugurated in 1997 by The Evening Star, the Press Ball has raised more than a quarter of a million pounds for Disability Care Enterprise (DCE) - a Suffolk-based charity that provides specialised equipment for disabled people.

Organiser Bridget York, creative director for London event management specialists Entire Affair, said: “This year's Press Ball has received unprecedented interest and as a result we have responded with an additional table.”

Set aside for VIP guests, the table for ten, which costs £3,000, includes a prime table location next to the stage, tickets to the VIP reception with heart throb Tony Hadley and a chance to have your picture taken with him, champagne and extra wine on the table, and the opportunity to have a company logo displayed throughout the evening.

Miss York said: “Securing the services of pop icon Tony Hadley has been a major coup for this year's Press Ball. This will be an amazing night. This is the last opportunity to attend what will be an unforgettable evening.”

The ball is being held at the Hotel Elizabeth, Copdock, on June 22. To date, the balls have raised £257,000.

As preparations get underway for this year's fantastic Ice Ball theme - complete with it's very own ice maiden - the 2007 event is expected to be the biggest and best yet.

Star editor Nigel Pickover said: “The Press Ball is the highlight of the Suffolk social calendar and this year there has been massive interest in the event.

“We are delighted to be able to offer an extra table and I look forward to welcoming new friends to the evening.”
