Details was the theme for our iWitness photographers this week, and they rose to the challenge with some fantastic photos.

The winning image comes from Pamela Bidwell, who captured a stunning close-up of a dragonfly.

Insects provided inspiration for many of our community of photographers. Jane Deville caught a bluebottle cleaning itself up on camera, while Mick Webb showed the detail of bee at work collecting pollen.

Robert McKenna chose to capture the detail of a emperor moth caterpillar, while finally David Lamming chose to capture something different, showing off a carpet of conkers on the ground.
