A fire crew from Long Stratton in Norfolk was called to the nearby village of Fordon where the owner of the Jack Russell told the crew attempts had been made to free the dog for several days.
The firefighters used hand tools and ladders to access the dog, which was returned to its owner unharmed just after noon.
