The arrival of upmarket clothing chain Jack Wills appears to be growing ever closer after the company’s branding appeared at the premises they hope to occupy.
Boards proclaiming “Where there’s a Wills there’s a way” have appeared in the windows of the former Croydon’s store in Tavern Street.
It is thought work has begun internally to prepare the building for the new Jack Wills, which chose Suffolk as the location for only its second ever store when it opened one in Aldeburgh in 2001.
It has been reported on social media, through the page of the Ipswich Society, the shop could open in mid-June.
Jack Wills has been advertising for staff for the store for some time, both in managerial and salesperson roles.
No one from Jack Wills was available for comment.
