A car has crashed into the petrol station at the Goddard Road Asda.
The incident involved two cars, a police spokesman said, and has left the kiosk in need of a structural examination.
A Jaguar and an Audi were involved in the crash around 4pm.
One man has been taken to hospital for a check-up, the spokesman added.
Around nine inches of the bottom of the building is cracked and the fire service has asked for the building to be examined, the continued.
Motorists are not being allowed into the store’s car park from the roundabout leading to/from the A14 slip roads and are instead being directed round to the rear exit on Goddard Road, which is being used to get into and out of the car park under supervision.
