FORMER Ipswich Town favourite Jason Cundy has spoken of his determination to beat cancer for a second time after tests showed signs of the disease returning.

The 32-year-old, who beat testicular cancer nearly five years ago, revealed yesterday latest scans had shown the emergence of pre-cancerous cells.

He will now undergo radiotherapy, but is adamant he can fight off the disease yet again.

Cundy said: "I have to believe I will beat it again. There's no other way I can approach it. I've got so much support around me, I've got two beautiful sons and a beautiful wife and I can't think any different."

Cundy, a founding member and trustee of the Cancer Campaign in Suffolk, revealed the news during a promotional event for the Orchid Cancer Appeal, which funds research into the treatment, diagnosis and prevention of testicular cancer.

He was speaking at yesterday's event at Ipswich Town's Portman Road ground, which included the launch of the video Know Your Balls.…Check 'Em Out.

He said: "I had prepared myself for it and it wasn't a total shock. I thought I would be in this situation and I've been in a similar scenario before, although this is nowhere near as bad as it was last time."
