Residents of Jaywick near Clacton will be able to find out more about community organisations in the area at a special open event next Tuesday.

The Jaywick Sands Networking Advisory Event takes place from 1-5pm at the Community Resource Centre in Brooklands.

More than 20 organisations, ranging from the local Scout group and Jaywick Martello Tower through to the Environment Agency and Citizens’ Advice Bureau, will have stalls at the drop-in event.

Tendring District Council will also have a stall where people can find out more about the plans to build new homes, create jobs and provide better local facilities in Jaywick Sands working alongside the community.

Refreshments, a raffle and children’s craft activities – all free – will also be held at the day. The event has been organised by Tendring working in partnership with the Jaywick Sands Community Forum.
