THE jury in the trial of a Suffolk man accused of murdering his former girlfriend has been listening to a summing up of the case by the trial judge.

Justice Laura Cox spent yesterday explaining the law to the jury and reminding them of evidence they had heard during the last five weeks.

Before Ipswich Crown Court is Kevin Nunn, 45, formerly of Wrights Way, Woolpit, who has denied murdering Dawn Walker in February 2005.

It has been alleged that Nunn murdered Miss Walker of Oak Close, Fornham St Martin after she ended their two-year relationship and then dumped her body in Fornham Park, near Bury St Edmunds.

Justice Cox is expected to continue with her summing up today and the jury will then retire to consider its verdict.
