POPULAR young performers the Co-op Juniors could be elbowed aside from their prime Christmas venue by panto's big name stars, The Evening Star reveals today.
In a move sure to outrage the amateur troupe's faithful following, Ipswich Borough Council is looking at moving the Juniors' annual Christmas panto to February to make way for lucrative box office showbiz "names".
If the axe falls it would mean the end of a proud tradition of 25 years association between the Co-op Juniors and the Regent Theatre.
