There are now just two days left to nominate an unsung hero from your community for a Stars of Suffolk award.
Be it a neighbour who dedicates hours caring for a friend, a dedicated policeman or someone who has shown extreme bravery and courage to overcome a life-changing injury or illness - there is a category to celebrate all members of the community.
The awards were launched nine years ago by Mick Parker, of Parker Communications, to honour the bravest, most dedicated and most caring individuals across the county.
Mr Parker said: “This being the ninth year of Stars of Suffolk, it’s incredibly apparent how Stars of Suffolk changes peoples’ lives.
“We have had letters, telephone calls, emails from people ever since we started saying what a massive impact Stars of Suffolk has had on them and their families.
“The heart-warming feeling they get when they feel they are recognised by their peers, the public, their friends and family...the people that our awards go to, they are wonderful people who do wonderful things and don’t expect to get recognition.
“This is a special evening designed to recognise real heroes and heroines. It’s a wonderful experience to behold.
“I would implore people to nominate someone for a Stars of Suffolk award.”
All winners will receive a gong and a special prize relevant to the individual. Nominations close tomorrow, with the winners to be announced at a ceremony at Wherstead Park on Thursday, November 24.
