The Kerry Alex Thorpe Trust donated dozens of presents to children at Ipswich Hospital on Christmas Day.

The charity, which helps children with cystic fibrosis, was launched in honour of Kerry Thorpe, from Kesgrave, who battled and raised awareness of the condition, as well as the desperate need for people to sign the organ donation register, before passing away on March 21 last year aged 23.

Josh Nelli, founder the Kerry Alex Thorpe Trust, said: “We came up with the idea of giving presents to children at Ipswich Hospital during the summer as we wanted to do something this Christmas in connection with the children’s ward.

“It was lovely to spend time with the families and to be honest I think it made things extra special for me personally that I made the visit alongside my sister Megan, Tony my dad and Fiona our cousin.”
