Mobile speed cameras will be out and about on Suffolk’s roads today, including Kesgrave.

The Norfolk and Suffolk safety camera and central ticket office tweeted its locations this morning, stating officers will be carrying out speeding checks in Kesgrave, Haughley and Elmswell.

Cameras will also be out in Pettaugh and Worlington.

Meanwhile, in Norfolk, mobile speed camera checks are due to be carried out in the Norwich area, Dereham, Fakenham, the A11, the B1108 and the A47.

Suffolk Constabulary regularly tweets where it will position its cameras from its @NSSpeedCameras Twitter feed most mornings.

The force regards excessive or inappropriate speed as one of the ‘fatal four’ driving offences which contribute to deaths and serious injuries on the county’s roads every year.

The other three of the ‘fatal four’ driving offences are driving under the influence of drugs or alcohol, not wearing a seatbelt and driver distractions – like using a mobile phone behind the wheel.
